In the heart of England, there are many places of historic and natural beauty that can be visited as a day trip from Bicester. These are a few of the main attractions:
Universities – The oldest University in Great Britain and many colleges are open to the public to view.
Tours – Open top buses are a good way to see the main attractions and decide which you would like to visit in more detail.
Oxford Castle – St George’s Tower and the Mound – which date from 1071. More recently, the castle was a prison. There are guided tours of the complex and events at the Castle vary with the seasons.
